nZaphrentis(Paleon) An extinct genus of cyathophylloid corals common in the Paleozoic formations. It is cup-shaped with numerous septa, and with a deep pit in one side of the cup.

nzaphrentisThe typical genus of Zaphrentinæ. The species are deeply cupped, with many septa, and a peculiar pit on one side of the interior. Z. cassedayi is an example. They lived in the Silurian and Carboniferous periods.
