- n trapball An old game played by two or more persons with a ball, bat, and trap (see trap, n., 5). By striking the end of the pivoted trap with the bat, the ball is driven some distance. The side or players out retire the striker by catching the batted ball on the fly or by bowling it to the trap from the place where it falls.
