ngalegaA genus of tall perennial leguminous herbs, with racemes of blue or white flowers and linear cylindrical pods. There are 3 or 4 species, of southern Europe and western Asia. The goat's-rue, G. officinalis, was formerly used in medicine as a diaphoretic and stimulant, and is occasionally found in gardens.
