nagropyronA genus of about 30 annual and perennial species of grasses in Europe and America. A. repens is a very common species in America, and is often a troublesome weed. It is known under many names, as couch-grass, witch-grass, quitch-grass, quack-grass, etc. It was introduced from Europe. Under certain conditions, it has merit as a forage-plant.
