    • n agalmatolite A soft stone, of a grayish or greenish color, found in China and elsewhere. It can be cut with a knife and polished, and in China is thus formed into works of art, as grotesque figures, pagodas, etc. It belongs in part to the mineral pinite, and in part to pyrophyllite and steatite. Also called figure-stone, lardstone, bildstein, and pagodite.
